Dr. Michael P. Lange, founder of Lange Eye Care and Associates and The Lange Eye Institute and one of his Associates, Dr. Nathan Schramm have just passed boards achieving them both the designation of Certified Nutrition Specialist, (C.N.S.), from the American College of Nutrition. This makes Dr. Lange and Dr. Schramm the first in their field to become certified nutritional specialists. Dr. Lange states " this brings more credibility to what we have been offering our patients for many years in nutritional eye care and preventative medicine". We are involved in many nutritional studies that are bringing nutritional science into eyecare. Dr. Lange is also Chairman of the Board of Fortifeye Vitamins where he uses his knowledge in nutrition to develop science based nutraceuticals for the eyecare industry. Dr. Lange hosts a talk show on nutrition and eye care called "ask the doctor", on eight different radio stations from Sarasota to south Georgia since 1993 and travels almost two months out of the year promoting science based nutrition to eyecare providers from all over the world. |

Vision Center Now Open At Lange Eye Institute New - The Low Vision Center at the Lange Eye Institute is one of a kind, it will feature all of the latest in low vision technology from Eschenbach. The Low Vision Center is designed to give vision impaired patients the opportunity to remain independent or regain their independence. This is the first Low Vision Center in the Villages and surrounding areas. The Low Vision Center is now open. Lange Eye Care Gears Up For Expansion Ocala based Lange Eye Care has recently announced the addition of D. Wayne Keller as Senior Vice President of Operations. This new position at Lange was created in anticipation of a planned expansion into additional East coast and west coast Florida markets.
Keller has over 30 years in the optical industry on a national and international scale
and has headed up many projects with some of the world’s largest eye care retailers. He will oversee all phases of the Lange operation. Keller has worked
extensively in manufacturing with factories and design teams in both Europe and
Asia.
"We will begin right away to enhance our customer service and in store
product presentations. The Lange’s have an incredible team of Doctors in place
supported by a great technical and retail support staff. Our goal will continue
to be to offer finest eye care in the industry. I am excited about our future
together" says Keller.

Spectracell blood tests
now available
through Lange Eye Care. This is an intracellular blood test that checks the nutritional status at a
cellular level. Dr. Lange uses this to help make recommendations of specific nutraceuticles that may help with eye diseases and overall health.
All of our doctors
utilize these blood tests to enhance the quality of care to our
patients. Dr. Lange states " This takes the guess work out of vitamin/mineral therapy. We have thousands of patients that have benefited from our nutritional counseling. Many patients don't realize the importance of taking the correct nutraceuticles, often times we see patients taking entirely too much of a particular vitamin and not enough of another.
