New  -  Low Vision Department Now Open At Lange Eye Institute The New Low Vision Department at the Lange Eye Institute is one of a kind, it will feature all the latest in low vision technology from Eschenbach.  The Low Vision Center is designed to give vision impaired patients the opportunity to remain independent or regain their independence.   This is the first Low Vision Center in the Villages and surrounding areas.  The Low Vision Center is now open.  Dr. Lange states "This is a hugely under serviced  sector of the population,  the vision impaired patients of central Florida need a place they can come to, to learn about the latest technology for vision impaired patients".   Yes, we recommend an appointment to see one of the Lange Eye Institutes Low Vision specialists, but you can browse freely thru the center as well.

Kyle Balch MD a board certified Ophthalmologist and certified Oculoplastic surgeon offers patients the latest advancements in eye and cosmetic facial surgery.

A native Floridian, Dr. Balch is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the UF College of Medicine.  He completed one year internal medicine at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and residency training at Emory University Department of Ophthalmology.  In addition, he was fellowship trained in Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Jules Stein Eye Institute/UCLA and Beverly Hills, California.

In this highly specialized field, Dr. Balch is one of a handful of Fellowship-trained Oculoplastic surgeons in Florida.  In Fact, fewer than 30 surgeons complete such training in the U.S. each year.  He brings a new dimension to Lange Eye Care by offering the latest advancements in surgical eye care.

Dr Hunt has been affiliated with Lange Eye Care since 2002.  Dr. Hunt can be seen at the Lange Eye Institute in the Villages. Dr. Hunt is currently certified to do the Alcon restore MultiFocal implant and he performs no stitch, no shot cataract surgery.
