"The Key is Early Detection"

An eye exam is one of the best forms of preventative medicine today.  The Doctor is of course looking for the first signs of eye disease such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, or other diseases of the eye.  But our Doctors are also doing a systemic health screening.

Some of the first signs of

  • high blood pressure
  • diabetes
  • arteriosclerosis
  • and even some of the first signs of pending strokes and brain tumors can show up on an eye exam.

Remember, the eye is the window to the body.  So as you can see an eye exam may not only be vision saving, but could be ultimately life saving.

An eye exam is one of the best forms of preventative medicine today.

Dr. Nathan Schramm evaluates a patient using slit lamp biomicroscopy.

Our staff will take the time to thoroughly educate you on all aspects of eye care and eye ware.  We thoroughly believe in patient education.

Our Doctors will of course make recommendations on specific types of frames and lenses and will also discuss alternatives.

We will discuss other means of slowing down the aging process in the eye and the latest eye health breakthroughs such as:

  • Lifestyle Changes
  • Nutritional Supplements
  • Dietary Changes
  • Exercise

After the exam the Doctor will sit down with you and discuss and go over each and every diagnosis in detail and any and all treatment options available.
